Wendy was born in Richmond. She is the second eldest of 5 and attended Chiswick High School.

Wendy worked at PriceWaterhouseCoopers but left after having her first child. During her maternity leave, Wendy went to help at Putney Bridge Taxis for a couple of weeks. Putney Bridge Taxis was founded by her Father, Brian in the 1970s. Wendy ended up staying for 32 years, becoming the sole proprietor. Throughout this time she forged strong relationships through the London Taxi trade. Wendy has 4 children and 3 of her children have worked in the garage. Most prominently was Ben, who worked on the tools for 17 years.

Wendy retired from the garage in 2020.

During her retirement Wendy is kept busy being “Nana” to Isla and Arlo, her two grandchildren. She also enjoys her roles with the WCHCD and has become a Freeman of the City of London.

Away from the Taxi industry, Wendy enjoys waterskiing on a few times per week and is a regular gym goer. She also enjoys Skydiving and Parachuting. When she does get a break, Wendy spends much of her time travelling.
