Malcolm Paice

Malcolm Paice was born, raised and educated in Harrow, before starting his working life in communications engineering. In the early 90’s Malcolm ran his own business providing telecoms services to transport and utility operations during the early cellular industry boom, when many organisations shifted from private mobile radio systems to mobile phones. It was here that he was first introduced to the taxi and transport industry. In 1996 Malcolm joined Computer Cab plc, London’s largest black taxi company, as they migrated to the first GPS based despatch system in Europe; Mobistar. Following the acquisition of Computer Cab by the ComfortDelGro Group, Malcolm moved into business development to help the firm branch into new sectors and expand beyond the London taxi market. In 2011 Malcolm was made Chief Operating Officer for CityFleet Networks, managing taxi and transport operations in London, Birmingham, Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Liverpool. In 2014 Malcolm set up his own management consultancy business and was also appointed as Managing Director of Keystone Group, a recruitment technology business. He is also a co-founder of Mobiq Group, a specialist transport consultancy business operating across Europe. Malcolm first became a Freeman of The Worshipful Company of Hackney Carriage Drivers in 2005 and the following year he obtained the Freedom of the City of London and became a Liveryman. He soon joined the Court of Assistants and chaired the Membership Committee for a number of years before becoming a Warden and being installed as Master of the Company in September 2014. Following his tenure as Master, Malcolm then chaired the Public Relations Committee for a number of years. Malcolm also resides on the Recruitment Committee for the Company. Malcolm is a Member of the Institute of Directors and the Singapore UK Association and serves as a non-executive director for a number of start-up companies. He holds certifications from the Institute of Occupational Health and Safety, holds qualifications in Teaching English as a Foreign language, is a certified GDPR practitioner and is a Governor at his daughter’s primary school.
